Park House Cottages on Berwick Hill Road
Standing alongside Berwick Hill Road are two agricultural cottages now converted into private residences.

The 1841 census has no mention of them but the 1851 census does list Park House Cottage (note the singular). It housed two families of agricultural labourers which was not unusual at the time when multiple occupancy of houses was common place. Built around 1850, it will almost certainly have been a single storey stone-built cottage provided for workers at the nearby Park House Farm.
The 1895 Ordnance Survey Map shows the building divided into three units and the 1901 census lists one of them as built but not yet occupied. The upper storey of the building is likely to have been added either around this time or sometime during the 20th century.
By 1913, they had been redivided into two units. The marks of these changes can still be traced in the variances in the stonework of the exterior walls.
